The Escape

In my fourth year of high school during classes I stopped listening and started writing films. In about three weeks I had a finished script; during that time I made casting decisions, choosing as protagonists a friend who had already worked with me on another film and a new student at school. The story is set in the boarding school where I lived during high school. We needed an adult, so I contacted a teacher at a local primary school who was enthusiastic about joining the project. After finishing the screenplay I pictured every frame of the movie in my head: so during the shoot I knew exactly what had to be done. We shot every evening for a week. After that I did the editing, color grading and sound design. I then organized multiple screenings for the staff of our boarding school and the teachers at our school.
